Amrit Yoga takes you into the deeper dimensions of yoga, blending the spiritual and physical being. To move from pose to pose is not the purpose. The purpose is to feel the sensation in the pose, to be with it and stop the fight or flight response. Observe, relax and integrate, moving in flow from tension to relaxation to balance.
Chair Yoga is a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits of yoga. Staying seated means that seniors or those who aren’t flexible can safely do the exercises.
Students are able to loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress and anxiety, improve circulation, lower blood pressure, protect joints, and build strength and balance.
Combining yoga and pilates, these bone-strengthening and balance-enhancing workouts can benefit anyone looking to tone up, enhance posture, improve balance, and gain overall strength — and they’re also safe for people with osteoporosis and arthritis.
