Andrea was born and raised in Hungary.
She was introduced to yoga by a good friend of her in Hungary and she fell in love with it.
In the beginning of her journey she also met with Art of Living and learnt the Sudarshan kriya, which is a meditative breathing technique with phenomenal benefits.
After she has been practicing with several studios she felt that she was ready to visit the source of the beautiful knowledge of yoga and traveled to India.
Andrea did her YTTC in Rishikesh where she spent a month in a yoga school to gain deeper understanding of the science of yoga.
Since then she was teaching in England, Denmark and in the past two years she has been sharing her practice with us in Jamaica.
She was trained with different styles, but she believes that every yoga roots to the same source which is Hatha yoga.
Andrea teaches two yoga classes at Afya at the moment and you can also look out for her name on our Pilates schedule as she is also a trained Pilates instructor.
Yoga for release and relief
A gentle Hatha practice is a medicine for the self as we getting closer to the end of the week.
Thursday 6.00pm could be a special treat for yourself. The class has different elements. Standing postures are just as much part of the practice as the sweet mat asanas.
She will guide you from the busy day to you inner peace.
This early morning yoga might be a challenging one for most of us. Takes much discipline to be on the mat at 7.00am but we guarantee that for the end of the class you will feel it worth it.
This class is another relaxing Hatha Practice sometimes with a little more push, sometimes with a little less.
The class designed to work on the whole body, as well as Andrea likes to focus on the chars distempered too.
Give it a try!:)
